Sally Young

Sally, founder and director of EA Architects Studio, is an award-winning Australasian minded architect with a passion for high-end design, people, community engagement, sustainability and prefabrication. She graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a Bachelor of Architecture with honours and since then gained 16 years experience in architectural practice locally and internationally.

Sally’s portfolio includes working on residential, public, retail, multi-residential and community projects within New Zealand and Australia and multi-million dollar government projects within Victoria Australia, developing educational, sporting & recreational and public facilities. She has added experience in heritage listed residential and educational building restorations and refurbishments, as well as experience in zoological, veterinary, sporting, hospitality and retirement projects.

This experience is reinforced by a proven ability to foster good working relationships with clients, consultants and colleagues and to express a highly regarded skill set in front end design, project management, resource & building consent documentation and applications, and contract administration and construction observation services.

Sally has specialist expertise in the above mentioned sectors, however she can quickly adapt her skills and repertoire to many different project types, which allows her to work in an array of sectors.

Sally holds memberships with the New Zealand Institute of Architects and is a Registered Architect with the New Zealand Registration Architects Board and the Australian Registration Board of Victoria. She is also a member of the NZ Green Building Council and is studying to obtain Green Star and Home Star Accreditation through the NZGBC.
