EA Architects Studio is proud to have experience in community projects. We place a key emphasis on creating spaces with meaningful connections to the surrounding landscape and a sense of grounded-ness by appealing to all of the senses.

We designed this community centre for a special community organisation, who needed an office head quarters, and to provide a facility for refugees needing to learn english and integrate into the local culture in a safe environment.

This building comprises of open plan offices, flexible classrooms, a conference room, prayer room, kitchen, function room, central courtyard and a children’s play area. Seating has been incorporated into the external facade to allow the wider community to engage with the building and enjoy the surrounding native gardens, while a private courtyard has been incorporated into the centre of the building for the building occupants. This project was a design and build project and was completed on budget.

Sally Young was given an award for her contribution to the successful completion of the Community Centre in 2014.
