At EA Architects Studio, we believe that truly meaningful architecture fosters a deep sense of belonging.

This new community centre was designed for a remarkable organisation supporting refugees as they learn English and settle into local life. The building offers open-plan offices, flexible classrooms, a conference room, prayer room, kitchen, large function space, and a sheltered internal courtyard.

We sought to create spaces that are both welcoming and grounding, with outdoor seating built into the façade to invite connection with the wider community, and native materials and landscaping to enrich the surrounding environment.

Designed and delivered as a design-and-build project, the community centre was completed on time and within budget.

In recognition of her successful contribution to this project, Sally Holdgate received a private award from the client in 2014.
